Wine and Vinyls in a Kreuzberg Bar

Around the new year, we had the desire to host an evening welcoming 2026, getting together with people we hadn't seen in a while – celebrating life, music, and each other. We sat down with the cultural catalyzers at Gruppe, invited our friends from vinyl collective Median Berlin, and took over Kreuzberg's natural wine bar NOMI on a cozy winter Saturday.

We were able to transform NOMI's spacious side room into a small dance floor and podcast recording stage, as Median took the opportunity to film each of the three vinyl sets for their YouTube series. Thanks to their selectors, the night was filled with laid-back but groovy house tunes.

The bar's wine reserves were poured endlessly and some even ran dry. Thanks to their tasteful selection and attentive staff, no one had to go empty though. People showed up in droves that would usually be reserved to the summer months, reminding us of what's ahead and fulfilling our hopes for this warm gathering in cold times.

We can't wait to repeat this in one way or another once the temperatures rise. Working with likeminded, young facilitators has once again proven to be most rewarding. Head over to Median's YouTube channel to find all three sets of the night!
